"Friends, how many of us have them?" I was thinking, do we really know how to build friendship the proper way? As I was looking up the word friendship. The Webster's Dictionary says " a state of being a friend" I know we know that it is a state of being, but, it doesn't tell how to be a friend or build friendship. So, you know where I went. To the book like no other...The Bible. The bible says that a friend is someone; reliable, a sweet fragrance, like family, loves unconditionally, put their life on the line, not fake, honest, laughs with you, cry with you, and celebrates your success. That is what I'm talking about!!! I want to share this with you...I struggle for years with having girlfriends. I did not trust women, you know why? I had been betrayed by people who call themselves my friend. I know I have passed up a lot of people who try to be-friend me, because I categorize them. I thought they were going to hurt me like the others did. So I will break the friendship off before it would get started. That wasn't fair at all. But, you know what? I prayed to God to give me good girlfriend relationships and I ask him to teach me how to be a friend. You have to show yourselves friendly. If you see someone you would like to be friends with, go an introduce yourself and say" I would like to be friends " I know.....what if they are not feeling you. As my First Lady, Dr. Dee Dee say, then go to the next one. I have developed some good girlfriend's over the past and you know how they were develope, I showed myself friendly, I reached out. Now, I want you to know that you may not find a girlfriend just like you. That is OK, celebrate your differences. I learn this also from my first lady, sit down with your friends and both of you share what your expectation are. So that you all can be on one accord. When you have your talk, be honest. If you do that, you will have good quality friendships that will last until you go be with the Lord. So I leave you with this, If I can do it you can do it....Everybody needs a friend.
